Phoebe Yang // co-executive Director
Phoebe Yang, a senior at Lincoln High School, hopes to help others better their lives through Olivenbaum. A former PYP violinist, she now wants to focus on helping students reach their full potential using mentorship, partnership, and friendship.
Phoebe is also an IT and engineering intern at OpenSesame, a member of Lincoln High’s varsity cheerleading team and track team, president of Lincoln High's math club, and a volunteer with OMSI TSA. In her free time, Phoebe enjoys spending her time with friends and weightlifting.

Ian song // CO-Executive Director
Ian Song attends Cleveland High School as a Senior. He has been playing the violin since he was four years old. He has been a member of the Portland Youth Philharmonic (PYP) association for eight years and serves as Co-concertmaster of the PYP orchestra. He has learned that music is extremely powerful and it can evoke our wide assortment of emotions and feelings. For Ian, Olivenbaum is not only an all-embracing environment to connect with new people and play great music but also an invaluable conduit through which he can help unite people all over the world using the power of music with everyone. His hobbies encompass reading, gaming, and biking.

Haelin Park // DIRECTOR of Programs
Hello, my name is Haelin Park and I’m currently a junior at Sunset High School. I have various tutor experiences in areas such as math and science. I’m also a TSA volunteer from OMSI since 2019 and through that experience, I got to perform and create science demonstrations for visitors. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others because watching people I care about growing makes me the proudest person in the world.

Preston Lee // DIRECTOR OF Health (Georgia)
My name is Preston and I live in Suwanee, Georgia. I attend North Gwinnett High School and I am in the 10th grade. I enjoy playing basketball in my free time. I made the freshman team this year and I am proud of my team because we did well this season. My favorite subject in school is math because it always has a straight forward answer. JaeMin Kwak // DIRECTOR OF culture (San Diego)
My name is Jaemin and I’m a sophomore at Torrey Pines High School. I have been playing the violin since I was 6. My favorite composer is Dvorak since his piece “Humoresque”, was the first piece that I enjoyed playing which got me more interested in playing the Violin. I like spending time with family and friends and traveling around the world. I am excited to use this experience in OLIVENBAUM to bring peace to others.

Daniel Lee // DIRECTOR OF communication
My Daniel Lee is a sophomore at Sunset High School. He loves reading, writing, and plays saxophone. He enjoys spending his time gaming and baking. He is excited to teach, mentor, learn, share the different cultures through OLIVENBAUM.

Donggyu park // volunteer coordinator
My name is Donggyu (Lewis) Park and I’m a sophomore at Sunset High School. I have been practicing TaeKwonDo since I was 6 and I’m currently a 3rd-degree blackbelt. Sparring is my favorite part about TaeKwonDo and I enjoy teaching others as well. And my favorite subjects in school are band and math because I enjoy playing clarinet and I love how there are multiple ways to solve problems in math. I like to spend my time with my friends, gaming, and biking..

Abigail Kim // DIRECTOR OF fundraising
Hello, my name is Abigail Kim, and I am a Senior at Central Catholic High School. I have played the oboe for the past ten years and member of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony (8 years), Portland Youth Philharmonic (3 years), and recently performed with the National YouthOrchestra of the United States America. When not playing music, I enjoy reading, running, and crocheting. Through music, I can express myself profoundly and want to be able to share this passion and joy with others. ELYSE Nah // DIRECTOR OF Programs
My name is Elyse Nah, and I’m a junior at Sunset High School. I play the flute and piano and am a member of the Portland Youth Philharmonic. I enjoy playing in the orchestra and smaller ensembles. Other than music, I enjoy writing, whether it’s through independent pursuits, teaching others, or collaborative workshop environments. Overall, I have tutoring experiences in flute, reading, and writing. Though music and writing are different, they are both ways for people to express themselves and touch others, and I am so grateful to be able to engage in both activities. In my free time, I also like volunteering at the library, painting, baking, and hanging out with friends.
